Empowering disadvantaged children with education, mentorship, and opportunities so they can break poverty cycles and build a hopeful future.
This project means a great deal to us. One of our trustees was born and raised in Amazwimabili village and left at 17, returning almost 50 years later to find that many of the challenges she grew up with were still affecting the community today.
In 2023, we began working with the village and the primary school. The village’s priority was clean water. Amazwimabili had not had reliable access to safe water since 1947, and this affected every part of daily life. By providing a borehole, we were able to restore something essential — and it has now made it possible for the school to begin building and tackling the long‑standing issue of overcrowded classrooms.
But water was only one of the needs. The village faces significant financial hardship, and in the time we have spent with the children, teachers, and families, we have heard their hopes and seen the challenges they face. Many children come from homes where even basic necessities are difficult to afford, yet they arrive at school each day with determination and optimism.
We believe education brings dignity, confidence, and opportunity. That is why we are committed to completing this building project. With your support, we can create classrooms where children feel safe, valued, and able to learn in comfort. We can also provide teachers — many of whom live away from home during term time — with decent accommodation that allows them to serve the community well.
Your contribution will help Amazwimabili take a meaningful step forward and give its children the chance to build a brighter future.
