Improve our cricket with additional coaching, new training equipment and new groundskeeping equipment for our growing community club.
Chipstead, Coulsdon and Walcountians Cricket Club (CCWCC) is a welcoming community cricket club that has been bringing people together through sport for over 100 years.
At the heart of our local community, CCWCC provides opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy cricket, get active and build friendships. Our club brings together:
- Children and teenagers discovering cricket for the first time
- Adults looking for regular sport and competition
- Families enjoying shared sporting experiences
- Retirees staying connected through walking cricket and social activities
We are proud to be a friendly, inclusive club where everyone can belong and enjoy the game.

Why we are crowdfunding
We are raising £15,000 to invest in facilities and coaching that will help our club grow and support more people to get active by playing cricket.
There is growing demand for cricket in our community — particularly from young players, girls and women who want the opportunity to start training and playing in a supportive environment.
We want to:
- Expand our youth cricket programme for both boys and girls to welcome those not regularly involved in any sport
- Provide more professional coaching for youth and adults
- Improve the practice facilities used at every training session
Girls’ cricket is growing rapidly and we want to ensure we have the facilities, coaching and opportunities needed to support this momentum. Our goal is to create a welcoming pathway where girls can start playing young and continue developing their skills through to adult cricket.
We also know that many teenagers drop out of sport during their teenage years. By strengthening our coaching and facilities, we want to keep young people engaged, active and enjoying time outdoors while building friendships that last a lifetime.

Our five-year vision is to:
- Grow our youth section to 200 players
- Establish girls’ teams across all age groups
- Develop opportunities for players to progress into adult cricket
Alongside youth development, we are also investing in men’s and women’s cricket, helping new and existing players improve their skills and enjoy the game. While women currently play on an ad-hoc basis, our ambition is to regularly field two women’s teams within the next five years.

How we’ll spend the money raised
If we reach our £15,000 target, we will invest in:
£3,750 – Youth coaching
Regular expert coaching sessions for boys and girls to develop skills, confidence and enjoyment of cricket.
£3,750 – Adult coaching
Professional coaching to support our men’s and women’s teams and encourage new players to join the club.
£6,000 – Grounds maintenance equipment Additional equipment to support the growth of our youth and adult membership.
£1,500 – Training equipment
Additional equipment to support the growth of our youth and adult membership.
Community impact
By investing in coaching and facilities, we are strengthening the long-term future of our club and ensuring cricket remains accessible in our community.
This project will:
- Help more young people get active and stay active
- Support the growth of girls’ and women’s cricket
- Create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to play sport
- Build a stronger community through shared activity and connection
Our vision is a club where players can begin as juniors, progress through adult teams and remain involved throughout their lives through to walking cricket in retirement.
