Build Leicester's Community Café & Hub

Aim

Creating a community café and hub in Leicester that supports employment, wellbeing, reducing isolation and community connection.

Drae & Dre Collective CIC was created with a simple vision: to create a welcoming community space where people can access support, opportunities, connection and a sense of belonging.

Across Leicester, many people face challenges including unemployment, social isolation, poor wellbeing, low confidence and limited access to affordable community support. Too often, people do not know where to turn for help, guidance or opportunities that could improve their lives.

Our aim is to create a sustainable Community Café & Hub that brings people together in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.

The hub will provide:

• Employment and job search support
• Access to volunteering opportunities
• Community events and activities
• Wellbeing and personal development support
• Digital inclusion and learning opportunities
• A welcoming café space where people can connect and build relationships

Unlike many projects that rely entirely on grants, our café model will help generate income that can be reinvested directly back into community programmes, activities and support services.

We believe everyone deserves access to opportunities, support and community regardless of their circumstances.

The funding raised through this campaign will help us secure and develop a permanent home for Drae & Dre Collective CIC, purchase essential equipment, create welcoming community spaces and establish the foundations needed to deliver long-term impact across Leicester.

Together, we can create more than a café.

We can create a place where people connect, grow, gain confidence and access opportunities that help transform lives.
