Who are we?
We are the official supporters' club of Trafford FC. Our aim is to support, promote, raise funds for the club and to raise awareness of the Football Club in the local community; providing a ‘mouthpiece’ for the supporters; providing a ‘line of communication’ between the supporters' and the Football Club and our current project: building a new stand behind the goal at the Pennybridge Lane end.
Why are we crowdfunding?
A couple of years ago, we decided that as a supporters' club, we wanted to build a stand behind the goal at Shawe View Stadium, the home of our beloved Trafford FC. Not long after, supporters, with their bare hands and a tiny bit of knowledge began grafting: digging out space, laying steps and building the back wall ourselves. The last stage of the project is to build the roof, which will cost £16,000. We currently have £8,700 towards this cost (which we've raised over the last few years through various events), but that still leaves us £7,300 short.
We would really like to complete the project as soon as possible - all supporters will benefit from having somewhere safe to stand during the game, especially when the great British weather has its say, and it will complete the ground in terms of having a covered stand on all four sides of the pitch.

Before the steps were built, this is what it looked like - people stood on a wet, slippy hill, which just wasn't safe. We've come along way but just need the roof and your help (please) to complete the project.
You can see how much joy Trafford FC brings - the support from all over the community is fantastic. It's not so fun when it's raining though.
How we’ll spend the money raised
All the money will be used to pay for a company to build the roof, so it meets building regulations and planning. This also includes the cost of the materials (steel).

Community impact
Trafford Football Club is at the heart of it's community, where it hosts 21 home games a season - with an average of around 500 people attending each fixture. Completion of the stand will allow any supporters to stand safely through all weather conditions, and support their team.
As well as Trafford Football club, we also have around 400 local children (boys and girls), who enjoy playing football and using our facilities by way of our sister club, Trafford FC Youth. Every April and May, we host many children's games/finals at Shawe View, with teams from all over the north-west visiting, so the benefits will be felt by hundreds and thousands of people supporting their children in the future.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge, please. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Rewards. Check out some rewards we are offering: £20 gets you a shout-out in a the club programme/website, £50 gets your name on next seasons kit and £500 gets you a football or shirt signed by the Trafford FC team.
