8th February 2016Progress Report From the KRCRA Steering Group.... (no less!)
The first three weeks of local fund-raising have produced an impressive response from our friends and neighbours, with donations amounting to nearly £4000 now in the bank. These, added to the grants we have already received, give us over £7500 towards our £10000 target. We are very grateful to those who have already made these generous donations, many of whom have agreed to be listed as donors on our website: .
ESCC have now informed us that a tentative date of the 29th of March has been set for the start of the traffic island construction. They require confirmation that we have raised our share of the costs by the end of February. So if you have been planning to make a donation but haven’t yet done so, now is the time; please do this by February 15th so that we have time to address any shortfall. We are increasingly confident that the project will go ahead as planned; however, we want to assure you that all donations will be refunded if we do not raise the required amount and the project can’t proceed. As before, the ways to donate to the project are:
Crowdfunding:
Bank Transfers: Account number – 43558673; Sort code – 20-49-76
Cash or cheques (made payable to Kingston Road and Cranedown Residents Association): delivered to 31 Cranedown, Brandon, Broughton Astley, Cedar View, Withypool or Spring Barn Farm Shop.
If you make a donation, please identify yourself or your organisation by completing the information below so that we can thank you and list you as a donor on our website. You can also email Wendy Brewer [[email protected]] with the same information. If you prefer to remain anonymous, we would like to thank you now for your contribution. If you would like updates on this and other KRCRA initiatives, and are not already getting the emails, please contact [email protected] and he will add you to the list. Finally, our fund-raising campaign has come to the attention of BBC Sussex, who interviewed Helen Parkyns on the radio at 7.40am on Friday February 5th. You can hear what Helen had to say by going to here and skipping through to 1 hour 41 min, 25 sec.
