Coronavirus has affected us all. Its indirect impacts on livelihoods, mental health and communities have been considerable and will be felt for months to come.
Bude Coastal Community Team, Neetside Community Centre and Christians Together in Bude & Stratton - with the support of Bude-Stratton Town Council - have partnered to do something about this. We are establishing a Bude-Stratton Social Action Fund which will make grants to local not-for-profit organisations helping people to deal with the indirect impacts of the Coronavirus. This might be organisations addressing food or fuel poverty, mental health, loneliness or isolation.
Eligible organisations based in, or working in, the following parishes will be able to apply for a grant from the Social Action Fund: Bude-Stratton, Jacobstow, Kilkhampton, Launcells, Marhamchurch, Morwenstow, North Tamerton, Poundstock, St Gennys, Week St Mary and Whitstone.
We are asking you to please donate towards the Social Action Fund. Every penny we raise will be redistributed in grants to organisations making a real difference to people's lives in these most difficult of times. The Bude area is at its best when it pulls together - one and all - to help out.
