The Cause
Brighton Surf Life Saving Club is a volunteer run charity formed to save lives. We have over 320 members and 40 volunteer coaches, helping to improve the safety of beaches for our local community in Brighton and Hove through prevention and training in lifesaving skills.
Originally founded in the 1950’s as one of the first 3 Beach Lifesaving Clubs in Britain, the club closed in the late 1970’s. In 2012 the club reformed and has not looked back since. We are currently in a period of rapid growth.
We now deliver several training sessions a week, providing first aid, sea safety and competition training. Our skilled and qualified volunteer coaches provide professionally recognised training in Surf Lifesaving; enabling all members to become competent lifesavers; with members going on to serve their local community as first responders and voluntary or professional lifeguards working on Brighton & Hove’s beaches; nationally for the RNLI or worldwide.
How to Enter
- Tickets cost £1 each – you can buy as many as you like.
- The draw opens on 10 October 2025 and closes at 5pm on 12 December 2025.
- Every ticket you buy is an entry into the draw.
- Free entry is also available by post – details are in the full terms and conditions.
