Brynaman Warm Hub

Who are we?

At the heart of the local community the Centre is a one-stop shop for the residents of Brynaman and the surrounding area. It provides a non-threatening place where local people can drop in for a cup of tea, a meal or just to find out what is going on in the village.

The Centre provides educational classes and courses, a part-time library, doctor’s surgery, police surgery, outreach services, Credit Union, as well as IT facilities and access to the Internet.

Community impact

With fuel prices increasing, it’s expected that many people will struggle to keep their homes at a healthy temperature this winter, particularly the people at home all day, the elderly and the vulnerable. This project will help those facing extreme fuel poverty this winter by allowing us to offer a warm space where people can be safe and warm whilst reducing the cost of heating their own homes.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are crowdfunding to raise funds to set up / run a warm hub based at The Black Mountain Centre. 

How we’ll spend the money raised

Your contributions will go towards additional heating costs and allow us to offer free tea, coffee and soup to anyone that comes to the warm hub at the Centre.
