Anything over the £500 needed as a deposit to stand our candidate in the general election will be used to produce leaflets to be delivered across Broxtowe and help fund our campaign. With your support, any funds donated beyond our stretch goal will go towards present and future Green Party campaigns.
The Green Party does not accept funding from large polluting corporations, we are funded by our members and donors like you. To stand a candidate we need to pay a £500 deposit. To send a single leaflet to every dwelling in Broxtowe will cost approximately £850. The snap election doesn’t give us much time to fund raise.
Every vote for the Green Party translates into funding for elected Green MP’s. A Green vote is not a wasted vote, it will help the next generation of Green MP’s hold the next government to account.
How ever much you can spare will make a difference! If 25 people gave just £20, we would hit our target. If 45 people more gave just £20 we could deliver a leaflet to every home in Broxtowe.
We're required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website. All donations go to general Green Party funds.
