Our Vision
Ambassadors Football was founded in 2003 to glorify God in and through football and the work has grown to include our football club, youth academy, camps, tours, schools work, training programs as well as our project in Senegal. From the very beginning we dreamt of a place to run all our programs and where we could call home, and so when the opportunity arose to lease the pitches at the old Brownlow Leisure Centre, we felt it would be a natural fit, giving us the opportunity to be a Christian witness right in the heart of Craigavon.
Our Challenge
We are thankful for the incredible opportunity that God has given us, butit is a huge challenge with Phase 1 costing approximately £280,000.
Praise God that we have been awarded £140,000 match funding meaning that all donations will essentially be doubled.
Other gifts and funding to date account for a further £86,000 meaning we need less than £55,000 in order to reach our phase 1 target.
Sponsorship
Having our own facilities means we are now in a position to offer a range of sponsorship opportunities and we would love to see 25 ‘founding sponsors’ get behind the project from the very beginning, raising an incredible £25,000 towards our overall target.
Founding Sponsor: Pitch side advertising board for 5 years - £1,000
If you would be interested in this or finding out about other sponsorship opportunities with Ambassadors, please get in touch.
100 'Ambassadors'
Could you be one of 100 individuals, couples or families who commit toraising £250 towards the project? Together this would provide anincredible £25,000, helping us towards our overall target.
As a way to say thank you, each ‘Ambassador’ will receive a unique gift specially made for the occasion and a plaque with their name on‘Nehemiah’s Wall’.
Nehemiah's Wall
In Nehemiah chapter 3 we read the names of those who were involved in rebuilding various sections of the wall in Jerusalem. Nehemiah obviously saw the importance of recognising those who played their part in completing the work and took the time to record their names as an example for others to follow.
In a similar way, we want to recognise and in a special way acknowledge those who will be part of building the ‘Ambassadors Arena’, laying a foundation for future generations. We believe this opportunity is a gift from God and that together He will help us get the work done. We trust that the arena will be a blessing to many in the years that lie ahead.
We plan to erect our own‘Nehemiah’s Wall’ at the arena with the names of all those who have been involved, whether it be through fundraising, a donation or being practically involved in some way.
Get Involved
As a charity, we have always relied on the generosity of those who believe in and value our ministry. Hundreds of thousands of pounds have been given over the past 20 years for projects and people both here and around the world and we are thankful for what God has done.
We have never undertaken such a big project before, but as we look to the future we really believe the Ambassadors Arena is key to bringing together all the various aspects of the work and laying a foundation for the future enabling us to continue and even expand the work we do.
Aside from our own fundraising, we will continue to apply for further grants and are also looking to those who share our vision and the wider community to get behind us and help us reach our target.
It is also possible to give a donation specifically for the project and we can claim gift aid on donations to make your gift go even further.
You can be involved whether you donate, be a fundraiser or share this project with your friends and followers, or business links you may have. Join in and help us reach our goal!
