I’m so overwhelmed and grateful for the donations from my friends, family & networks and the group’s supporters. We achieved the original target in less than 24 hours - incredible!
Reaching our stretched target would mean we can cover our running costs for even longer and we can do more promotion than we had originally hoped therefore spreading awareness of the group even more widely.
Thank you so much!
Imagine you've just become a parent to a newborn baby and, not only was it nothing like you expected (or were told), you are feeling some really difficult emotions that you don't understand and can't articulate. But you've been told (by others or society) that you should be enjoying this and that you've just got to get on with it. And the feeling gets worse and worse until you feel you may break down. This is how I felt in the early weeks of having my first baby. And it developed into postnatal depression and OCD. If only there was somewhere I could've physically gone to to get support, solidarity and understanding. This is why I set up Bromley PANDAS.
Our attendees are given a safe, welcoming space in which to share, talk & listen, all with the aim of reducing isolation, improving mood, giving hope and building confidence. We hope that this will not only help those who attend the group but their children, partners and family.
With your donation, we can not only keep running the group (refreshments, activities and we'd like to gift our venue something) but we can spend money promoting the group and getting the word out via printing flyers & posters as well as attending community events to let people in the community know we are there for them!
