British Pantomime Academy

My name is Kev Orkian and I have been in the entertainment industry for almost 30 years. Performing lead roles in West-End Musicals, Plays and Comedy Shows. I have toured the globe numerous times in different shows, cruises and comedy festivals. I have starred alongside many celebrities in 27 different Pantomimes in the UK & abroad.

I started my business Howlin' Entertainment Ltd in 2016, since then we have represented many stars of the stage, TV and Film. I felt there was a need to encourage upcoming Talent for the pantomime industry and for that reason, I started the British Pantomime Academy 2019, which nurtures and tutors students in skills and craftsmanship of Pantomime. Since the pandemic we have taken everything online and now offer numerous workshops for students to tap into not only Pantomime skills but also the following...Musical theatre, Audition Techniques, Singing classes, Comedy Workshops, Character Development to name a few.

Our vision is to expand the business to reach more children in different areas of the UK. We want to offer new and innovative workshops that teach students Magic, Ventriloquism, Circus skills, and much more.

The funding will go towards creating education packs for students to get creative and active with their family and friends. Our hope is to tour a school production of Aladdin this Easter, reaching schools and students who would not have had the opportunity to see a Pantomime. For some children this is their first experience in live theatre and we want to make it a truly memorable one. 

Every aspect of our business is about bringing community and students together on a creative platform that nurtures Pantomime and Musical theatre, but also creates a hub for children to interact and develop life long skills in communication.

Some the funding will also go towards building better digital platforms for students to learn through Masterclass workshops by well known celebrities.
