Aim
The aim of the project is to raise funds to help finance the British & Irish Master Cross Country International Event.
Who are we?
The Scottish Veteran Harriers Club is an organisation for Master Athletes in Scotland, which encourages and arranges races and representative teams for those athletes, locally, nationally and internationally. ‘Master’ athletes are those over age 35. We work in conjunction with local clubs and with Scottish Athletics.
Why are we crowdfunding?
To celebrate Glasgow as The European Capital of Sport, the Scottish Veterans Harriers Club are hosting the British & Irish International Cross Country Event on the 11th November 2023 at Tollcross Park, Glasgow.
This event will host 500 high performing athletes (aged 35 to 80), coaches and officials from the four home nations-Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Republic of Ireland and will include a presentation dinner too.
It will cost over £31k to run and we have opened a Crowdfunder to raise money towards the £13k deficit in funds.
How you can play your part
There are two simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
