Bringing Hope to Croydon

Aim

Help grow a people-powered Green movement in Croydon and build a fairer, happier and more hopeful future for our borough.

Croydon, we did it.

Something important is happening in Croydon.

With your support, the Green Party has achieved its best-ever result.  Together, we secured 23% of the total vote share and elected 5 new Green Party councillors, plus an independent, bringing us to 8 councillors in the Green Party and Independents Group on the council.

That didn’t happen because of billionaire donors or corporate backing. It happened because local people came together and believed Croydon could be better.

But this is only the beginning.

Croydon deserves more

Across our borough, people are feeling let down by politics as usual.

Communities want cleaner streets, safer neighbourhoods, affordable housing, thriving local businesses and properly funded public spaces. People want honesty, transparency and politicians who genuinely listen.

And more and more residents are realising that change won’t come from the same old parties making the same old decisions.

That’s why the Green movement in Croydon is growing.

We are building a positive, grassroots movement powered by local people who care deeply about their communities and want a greener, fairer and happier future for everyone.

We can only do this together

Unlike the larger political parties, the Greens are not funded by billionaires or mega-corporations. Everything we do relies on ordinary people contributing what they can, whether that is time, energy or donations.

If we are serious about creating lasting change in Croydon, we need to keep building.

Examples of how we'll  use money raised

£150 will pay for a monthly members' or community engagement meeting

£100 will pay for 5,000 A5 flyers for 1 ward

£75 will pay for 6 months of our Zoom account

£30 will pay for refreshments at 2 meetings or a set of stationery to go doorknocking in 1 ward

Winning elections is important, but building long-term community power matters just as much.

Every contribution matters

Whether it’s the price of a coffee, a larger donation, or simply sharing this page with others, every contribution helps us continue growing.

We also know times are difficult for many people right now, and there should never be pressure to give more than you can afford. Supporting the campaign can also mean fundraising creatively with friends, organising a local event, or volunteering your time to help spread the message.

This movement belongs to all of us.

Hope is growing in Croydon

The success we’ve already achieved shows what is possible when people come together around hope, fairness and community.

Now we have the chance to build on that momentum and create something even bigger: a stronger Green presence, deeper community connections, and a politics that genuinely puts people first.

But we can only do it together.
