RAF Coltishall, now Scottow Enterprise Park, has a proud 66 year history. Of that, the Station operated the Jaguar aircraft for 32 years through the Cold War, Gulf War 1 and beyond representing a significant part of the Station’s life. The RAF Coltishall Heritage Centre is delighted to announce that we have been allocated Jaguar GR1 XZ384 from RAF Cosford to join our growing collection of military aircraft (cockpits) to provide a fitting commemoration of the Jaguar Force.
As well as being a superb exhibit, the aircraft will also help us to fulfil our aims of not only telling the story of the Jaguar in the Cold War through the First Gulf War and beyond but also allowing us to work with our educational partners to introduce the younger generation to aviation technology.
In addition to engage local communities in the history of the Cold War, as the Jaguar played a pivotal role in the Cold War.
To provide opportunities for volunteers and students to learn aspects of research, archiving, preservation of aircraft etc.
To facilitate a Jaguar veterans hub for research and support of veterans and families of veterans.
