Aim: We’re raising £4,000 to help bring back Sharrow Festival in 2026 — a free, grassroots celebration of community, creativity, and culture

We’re a group of local volunteers — artists, organisers, neighbours and music lovers — who’ve helped shape and run Sharrow Festival over the years. Some of us have been here since the beginning; others got involved more recently. What unites us is a belief in what this festival means for our community.

Sharrow Festival has never been about profit. It’s a celebration of local talent, culture, creativity, and solidarity — always free to attend, and open to everyone.

Our vision for 2026 is to bring the festival back in the spirit it began: rooted, local, joyful, and real.

Let’s keep Sharrow Festival going — rooted, local, and free.

Sharrow Festival has always been about people. Not profit, not prestige — just people. A day of music, food, arts, activism, and togetherness, built by volunteers and shaped by the spirit of the neighbourhood.

We’re working to bring it back for 2026 — not bigger, not rebranded — just as it’s always been: real, local, joyful, and free to all.

🎶 What Is Sharrow Festival?

Held in Sheffield’s Sharrow area, the festival is a one-day celebration of the city’s diversity and creative energy. Past festivals have featured:

  • Music stages with local artists and grassroots talent

  • Family activities, arts & crafts

  • Food from across the community

  • Stalls from local makers, campaigners, and community groups

  • A genuine sense of welcome for all

There’s no VIP area, no big-ticket headliners — just a park full of people, music, and good energy.

💸 Why We’re Crowdfunding

We’re applying for grants and public funding to help support Sharrow Festival 2026 — but those funds are never guaranteed and often don’t stretch far enough. That’s why we’re turning to you — our community, friends and supporters — to help get us over the line.

We’re aiming to raise £4,000 to help cover the essentials:

  • Stage and sound equipment

  • Insurance, licences & toilets

  • Modest artist fees

  • Workshop materials and infrastructure

  • Volunteer support & basic accessibility

Every penny raised will go directly into making the festival happen — not bigger or glossier, but true to its roots. Any extra raised will help fund future Sharrow community events.

🌱 Your Support Makes It Possible

Whether you can pledge £5 or £50, every bit helps make this festival a reality. You’re not just backing a one-day event — you’re helping protect a space for joy, creativity, and connection in the heart of our community.

Even if you can’t donate, you can still help us by:

  • Sharing this campaign far and wide

  • Spreading the word to friends, neighbours, and local groups

  • Offering your time, skills or ideas (get in touch — we’d love to hear from you)

Sharrow Festival has always belonged to the people who show up, pitch in, and believe in the value of coming together. Let’s make 2026 happen — together.

(During the pandemic, we put together a short documentary edit about the festival — a way to reflect on what it means to the community when we couldn’t be together in person. It’s a reminder of the spirit we’re working to revive in 2026. )

Thank you. See you in the park.
