Wickford Lawn Tennis Club is a welcoming community club with three courts, offering tennis for all ages and abilities. We provide group coaching, private lessons, and social play, helping players develop their skills in a friendly environment. Our club is home to junior and adult teams, and we are committed to making tennis accessible and enjoyable for everyone in Wickford.

Why are we crowdfunding?
Our current floodlights are failing, and the parts needed to repair them are no longer available. We can no longer host home club matches, impacting our members and the wider tennis community. Upgrading to modern LED floodlights will allow us to bring matches back to our home courts, extend evening play, and improve the experience for all players.

How we’ll spend the money raised
We need to raise £13,500 to unlock Sport England’s pledge of £6,750, which will help us upgrade our failing floodlights and improve tennis at Wickford Lawn Tennis Club.

Community impact

🎾 Bringing Back Home Matches – Without working floodlights, we can’t host evening home matches. Upgrading them will allow our teams to compete at home again, strengthening our club’s presence in local leagues.
👥 Inclusivity & Social Play – Extended evening hours mean more opportunities for beginners, adults, and families to enjoy the sport, even after work or school.
💡 A Safer & Greener Club – New LED floodlights will provide better visibility and reduce energy consumption, making our club more eco-friendly and cost-efficient.
