Aim: Our aim is to raise the final £4,000 in order for Bridport Barracudas to Purchase new starting blocks!!
Bridport Barracudas is a local non profit club providing competitive swimming opportunities to children and young adults in the area.
from learning to swim all the way through to competing at regional and national level, our team of volunteers work tirelessly to provide the swimmers with the very best.
As we are a non profit team we rely solely on fundraising and support form the local community

Our home pool where we train 5 times a week is Bridport Leisure centre and we have been using the same blocks for years and years.
These blocks are now very outdated and the swimmers cannot get the most out of their swimming with them.
other clubs in the area including the pools we compete at for counties and regionals have the new style blocks which with their new design allow the swimmers to get a more efficient and effective dive and start to their race.
without the ability to practice on these blocks during our on training time, it is leaving our simmers inexperienced and disadvantaged when it comes to competing on them at other galas.
At barracudas, our team of volunteers strive to provide the very best opportunities to our swimmers despite being a smaller club and we are therefore working hard to raise the money needed to replace all six blocks.
We have already been working hard behind the scenes to raise the first £8000.00 towards the blocks and this is the final push !!
Every penny raised will go solely towards purchasing the new blocks.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
Thank you in advance for your help and support,
Barracudas
