We aim to raise funding to complete essential projects at BCC to ensure we continue to offer a high quality and safe facility for all users
Bridgwater cricket club is a leading community cricket club which has been designated a focus club by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to be a hub of the the community network for cricket development, particularly for the benefit of children and young people.

The Club has achieved Clubmark Accreditation by demonstrating that best practices are in place to develop and deliver high quality community cricket in a safe, effective and child-friendly way.
Cricket starts at a young age for some with the All Stars sessions for 5-8 year olds and a Dynamos program for 8-11 year olds.
The club runs a thriving youth section running sides at under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 19s age groups and takes great pride in developing cricketers through its youth programme into the senior sides.
2022 will also continue to host disability cricket in the form of the 'Sedgemoor Lions' which has been a fantastic development from the Somerset Super 1's programme.
The women's team put the club and the town on the map in 2021 by becoming National champions. A proud moment for the club and an amazing achievement for every player involved throughout the tournament.
This has seen even more growth in the womens game which will hopefully culminate in a 2nd senior team and dedicated girls training for under 11's and under 13's.

The Crowdfunder campaign in 2021 supported by Sport England was a huge success for the club and enabled us to continue with a number of vital projects and invest in the facilities at The Parks as planned.
Covid 19 continues to impact revenue streams for the club. Sponsorship uptake has declined over the previous 2 years and we are looking to continue the exciting plans we have for 2022.
The club continues to strive to generate revenue from fundraising to cover running costs but the crowdfunder campaign is required to complete the bigger projects as detailed below.
The funding will be used on a number of key areas ahead of the 2022 season;

The projects we decide to invest in are either from direct feedback from our junior and senior player surveys or projects that as a community club add value or improve the experience for visitors.
The investments we are fundraising for are vital for ensuring the club continues to offer a high quality and safe facility for all players and visitors.

The cricket club is a community hub throughout the summer and is utilised by friends and families on a weekly basis to watch and play sport.
The club plays hosts to multiple teams and landing our project aim will allow them all to return to play as we would normally do in 2022. The groups that will benefit from the project are detailed below;
This year also see's the return of the bi-annual fundraising golf day. This will be a key day to support the work we do for charities that are very close to the club.
As a club we are proud to complete events like this which support great causes.
