For more than six decades, Brian Auger has captivated audiences with his groundbreaking sound, establishing himself as a legendary trailblazer in jazz, rock, soul, and fusion. At 85 years young, Auger continues to inspire generations with his innovative and versatile musical talent, transcending the iconic Hammond organ performances he’s often known for.

Brian Auger’s remarkable rise from humble beginnings to music pioneer is a story that deserves to be told. 'I Speak Music', directed by acclaimed and respected filmmaker Alfred George Bailey, will celebrate Auger’s life, career, and his lasting influence on generations of musicians.With the blessing of Brian himself, and his family, the film will showcase his unique contributions through archival footage, personal stories, and live performances, highlighting his collaborative spirit that has inspired a diverse array of artists. This documentary aims to preserve his legacy and introduce his groundbreaking work to new generations of music lovers.With a multi-genre, multinational, and intergenerational appeal, Brian Auger has shaped the modern music landscape. Celebrated Visionary in Film and Storytelling
Is a London based film director and screenwriter who’s creative journey started playing drums in his fathers North West London gospel church. upon leaving the church at 16 he joined a Jazz Funk band as percussionist & later drummer with friend, the world renowned saxophonist Courtney Pine CBE. from a very young age Alfred had a keen interest in art, photography & films encouraged by his older brother an amateur photographer who gave him his first stills film camera.
For the past 25 years Alfred’s photography whether it be, musicians, dancers, reportage and especially his portraiture has been celebrated for its intimacy & emotional depth which has transitioned into his filmmaking. Alfred’s debut feature film as director & cinematographer was Gregory Porter: Don't Forget Your Music, following over a four year period the Grammy winning singers rise to international stardom from incredibly humble beginnings in Bakersfield California.
His critically acclaimed Grierson British Documentary Award winning (and multi-award-winning) second feature film, again as director & cinematographer Show Me The Picture: The Story of Jim Marshall charting the fascinating life of the infamous music & documentary photographer who captured some the most iconic images of world famous musicians across many genres and pivotal moments in American history.
As writer director Alfred has a curious eye, and is fascinated with the human condition, exploring & encapsulating its many facets to tell deeply compelling stories that connect with us all. cinematically his style is rooted in, and influenced by art, literature, and classic cinema aesthetic. His unique body of creative work has a visual timelessness and humanising sensibility which speaks to the very heart of us all.

A Life Steeped in Soul, Funk & Jazz
Having been involved in London’s soul, funk & jazz scenes since the 1980’s, Greg has in depth multi genre musical knowledge that he utilised as a curator, event promoter, A&R, musician & DJ, album compiler, writer, radio and TV presenter and voiceover artist, this included weekly spots for many years on BBC6 Music's Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show, a celebration of the Hammond organ on BBC TV's The Culture Show) and as musical curator/presenter for the Jocks & Nerds Radio Show on Soho Radio.
In the mid 90’s Greg was A&R coordinator for Acid Jazz Records, then the A&R/creative force behind Freestyle Records between 2010 and 2019 and signed to that legendary label, among others Omar, Courtney Pine, Carleen Anderson, Brian Auger, and was behind the hugely successful Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club compilation series. In 2021 Greg negotiated a catalogue license deal between Brian Auger and Soul Bank Music / !K7 Music in Germany. Greg is the world's leading authority on Brian's music and Auger himself often states “Greg knows my music better than I do!"
As a musician, specifically a Hammond Organist, Greg was also a member for the highly regarded UK deep funk outfit The Soul Destroyers, also played for Matt Deighton (Mother Earth / Paul Weller) and led his own group The Fantastics! (BBE Music) As a DJ appears regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Jazz Cafe, Martinez Members Club, The Seed Library and Spiritland - and has provided DJ warm up sets for Roy Ayers, Brian Auger, The Brand New Heavies, Shuggie Otis, Betty Lavette, Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.

1. Eligibility: The prize draw for autographed memorabilia is open to all globally.
2. How to Enter: Automatic Entry for donations of £75 and above: There is no limit to the number of separate donations of £75 and above that can be made per person. For every separate donation of £75 and above, an additional prize draw entry will be submitted.
3. Promoter: The promoter of this competition is PROJECTSIXTY4 and Impress!ve Collective, not Crowdfunder.
4. Competition Period: The prize draw opens on 13/12/24 and closes on 28/2/25 at 19:00. Entries received outside this time frame will not be considered.
5. Prizes: The number and type of autographed memorabilia prizes available to win will be announced in December 2024, there will be multiple winners.
6. Winner Selection and Announcement: The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the competition period. The draw will be conducted on week commencing 03/03/2025. Winners will be notified via email within 7 days of the draw.
7. Prize Claim: Prizes must be claimed within 4 weeks. Details on how to claim the prizes will be provided to the winner.
