Who we are?
Mason Brewing Co is a brand new microbrewery and taproom coming to Threemilestone, near Truro in Cornwall. Founded by Mike Mason, previously Head Brewer at The Driftwood Spars in St Agnes and Brewhouse and Kitchen in Lichfield, we're planning to renew the public's love for traditional British beers as well as offering exciting modern pale ales, stouts and everything in between.
The Story So Far
The result of years of dreaming and planning, Mason Brewing Co will represent everything we love about brewing, pubs and community. We have signed a lease for an industrial unit in Threemilestone, just outside of Cornwall's only city, Truro and are already in the process of applying for licences and converting the unit into a Brewery and Taproom, with plans to open the taproom in early April.
Why Threemilestone?
There are loads of great brewery taprooms spread around Cornwall but we felt there was room for one more west of Truro and not far from Redruth. Because of it's proximity to The Royal Cornwall Hospital, Threemilestone has great road and public transport links. It's also a hive of business headquarters, trade counters, shops and a pretty awesome independent Pizza joint - The Pizza Cabina.
A huge part of our business plan is to truly integrate into the local community. Cornwall is a year round home to us like many others and whilst we can't wait to welcome visitors from afar, the local community are the beating heart of the success of this business. Local charity partnerships are already planned and our space will be available to hire for events, celebrations and tastings.
What's The Plan?
We have the funding to renovate the premises for the brewhouse to move in, including the brewery flooring, drainage and utilities. However we do need some help with funding to make the taproom a welcoming and comfortable space for you to enjoy.
We have plans to create an immersive taproom with the brewery on full show but also the classic charm of a traditional pub, with all the creature comforts that make you want to nestle in for the night.
