For those who know me you will know I have an active 12 year old boy who has for many years along with hundreds of other young people enjoyed and benefitted from attending Rush skatepark. The skate park enables so many young people to have fun, meet new people, learn new skills enhancing their sense of achievement and self worth. The knowledge of knowing your children are able to be part of the community and have a safe space to ‘hang out’ is for me so important. Rush has been so important to my son and hundreds of others in Gloucestershire and from all across the country. Without this provision so many young people will be unable to fulfil their dreams, meet with their friends in a safe environment and it is likely the mental health of our children will be effected. Please help me to help Rush and our children who need and deserve this provision.
I am running a half marathon across the Brecon Beacons which for me is a massive challenge, having only taken up running again during the lock down. I am doing this to raise money for the Rush fundraiser as this provision is so important and must not be allowed to close forever.
