Aim

"Breaking the Line" educates drug users on Hepatitis C risks, testing, treatment, and harm reduction, empowering an overlooked community.

Who Are We?

Reel to Real CIC is a non-profit organisation that transforms communities through visual storytelling. We work with the community focusing on raising awareness around some of the more difficult public health issues often stigmatised.

The Film

Our newest project "Breaking the Line" is an impactful film project designed to raise awareness among recreational drug users, with a particular focus on those that use cocaine and ketamine, about the risks associated with contracting Hepatitis C (HCV). This documentary seeks to enlighten and empower this often-overlooked community by providing essential information on testing, treatment options, and harm-reduction strategies.

We are aiming to secure funding from both the National Lottery and the Arts Council to begin filming, but need to show that we can raise our own funds for essential start-up costs for things like a website and public liability insurance.

We are much more likely to secure our funding with your support!

What We Need

Reel To Real is actively fundraising for a website and essential insurance coverage, including public liability and directors insurance. Donations from the community demonstrate our capacity to raise funds independently, enhancing our credibility with grant funders. These contributions showcase our commitment and ability to secure resources for our projects' success.

How Much Will This Cost?

Our website requires £1,500 in funding, while securing insurance, including public liability and directors insurance, totals £200. These essential expenditures are crucial for the success and sustainability of our initiatives.
