Bradford Fringe Festival aims to create opportunities and accessibility for the people of Bradford to participate in the arts.
Bradford Fringe Festival needs your help and support. We are lucky enough to have some support for volunteer expenses and our brochure costs
The festival will take place in Bradford city centre between Friday 28th of June and Sunday 8th of September.
The co-founders of Bradford Fringe met at women's only comedy workshops at Theatre in the Mill and have performed a handful of times now between us. We noticed a lack of grass roots and female fronted comedy events accessible to all people in our city - and so decided to BE grass roots, female fronted and fearless and set up Bradford Fringe! We're all currently working on a voluntary basis to deliver the festival and have been incorporated under Bloomin' Buds Theatre Company. The BFF team would love to see this passion project build into something sustainable in Bradford's future. Our vision is that Bradford Fringe will become a year round, sustainable resource that helps to open access for people in Bradford into the arts, empty spaces and workshops.
We aim is not only to deliver a fringe festival with a locally and nationally recognised programme but also a festival that gives back to our communities. We have strong connections women's organisations, refugee groups and activists in the city and we want to give them the chance the perform, volunteer and attend an arts festival that is programmed to reflect the city it is delivered in.
We have been working tirelessly to produce BFF, organising venues, contacting artists and recruiting volunteers. We believe in this passion project and positive impact it can have on Bradford's future as a city of festivals, bringing people from all over the country to little corner of Yorkshire.
Your support will provide subsidised tickets and travel for those who wouldn't otherwise be able to attend Bradford Fringe Festival.
With the money raised from this campaign we also would produce art posters and other publicity to promote BFF, we'd also have t-shirts and badges made with our logo on to sell at events, raising money for future workshops and resources to make BFF sustainable for the future.
