Aim

Our peer support groups will provide a safe space to find support from people who understand life with borderline personality disorder (BPD)

We are very excited to be raising funds for our Peer Support Group project. Our peer support groups will provide a safe space for people to be supported, and support others, when they need it most.

Our organisation was founded in 2020, as a result of the lack of NHS support available to people in the UK living with BPD. With the correct combination of medicine and therapy, people with BPD can live well in recovery, living their life to the full. We want to bridge the gap and provide peer support to anyone who needs it, both online and offline.

We are a small organisation with big ambitions.

We want to see a world where everyone living with borderline personality disorder (BPD) gets the support, treatment options and respect that they deserve.

We are a national user-led community interest company.

We promote the use of lived experience and peer support to be there for anyone affected in any way by BPD, enabling them to live their lives to the fullest.

We believe that no person affected by BPD should have to face this illness alone.

We believe that people experiencing mental distress because of their BPD can direct their own journey towards wellbeing and recovery, to live a full life with improved mental health.

We have no paid staff.

We are run by trustees and volunteers with lived experience of BPD. We rely on donations to be able to support people in need.

What we can do with your donations

We intend to launch two peer support groups in our trial phase, in early 2023. One will be in Tyne and Wear, and the other in Hertfordshire. Following those trial groups, we will launch further groups across the UK in areas where there is the most need. The more money we raise, the more people we can support. Your donations will help cover the costs of training peer support co-ordinators, insurance, venue costs and any other associated costs of running the project.
