Who are we, and what is our project about?

At Bow Foodbank, we believe no one should face hunger alone. For over a decade we’ve stood alongside families in Tower Hamlets, offering food, dignity and hope. Every week, hundreds of people come through our doors. Parents skipping meals so their children can eat, older neighbours choosing between heating and food, and young people trying to get a start in life under impossible pressures. 

Our campaign, “Nourishing Hope”, goes beyond food. It helps people rebuild their financial wellbeing and resilience so they can move from crisis to stability. With living costs still painfully high for many, we’re seeing new groups coming to us for support, and we’re responding.  

Through trusted local partnerships, we connect guests to practical tools and compassionate advice to manage money, access benefits, and reduce stress. We listen carefully to what’s really going on for our community, and together we find solutions that make a lasting difference. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

This year, we’re expanding our work to include: 

• Young people – building confidence and money management skills 
• Digital inclusion – helping residents access online essentials 
• Baby feeding – ensuring parents can feed their children safely 
• Homelessness and housing support – offering guidance and advocacy 

People may come to us for food, but they leave with dignity, community and renewed hope.
