To enable the rapid establishment of the Centre for post Brexit Policy
As the UK emerges from Brexit, in whatever form it may take, it will be crucial that comprehensive, realistic policies are in place that contribute towards the UK becoming a united, confident, optimistic, prosperous and secure, globally outward looking trading nation.
The Boudicca Centre for Post-Brexit Policy has been established to assist in precisely that.
We are a non-profit, nonpartisan organisation committed to the public interest.
We work on the assumption that the United Kingdom will leave the European Union at some point in time and seek to shape the national trajectory beyind that point.
MISSION
To develop public policy solutions that set the conditions for the nation's confidence, prosperity, security and success.
The Centre has three primary lines of operation:
1. Public Policy Analysis and Development;
2. Leadership and Strategic Analysis training for politicians at all levels;
3. The Boudicca League national debating society.
1. PUBLIC POLICY DEVELOPMENT
We will be developing policies in all areas of government including, but not limited to:
- The economy
- Trade
- Manufacturing
- Education
- Healthcare
- Foreign and EU Relations
- Defence and National Security
- Justice, Home Affairs and Policing
- Civil Service Reform
- Fisheries
- Border Management
- Immigration
- Transport
- Housing
Global relationships and reputation will be key to the UK's success, prosperity and security in the years to come. We have already built an extensive network.
These 'Friends of the Boudicca Centre' are a group of highly successful and influential individuals, at home and abroad, who want to see the UK succeed as a confident, optimistic, prosperous and secure, globally outward-looking trading nation. They endorse the Centre for Policy in its work to support that aim.
Our Policy Audience
Our policy audience is politicians of all parties.
Parties will be able to take the policies we develop, use them as they are, adapt them or use them as the basis for debate, helping them to formulate their own ideas.
2. LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY
We will be conducting an annual programme of talks and courses on leadership and strategy.
Our Leadership Audience
Politicians, students of politics, the media and business.
3. THE BOUDICCA LEAGUE (NATIONAL DEBATING SOCIETY)
The Boudicca Center will establish a national debating society, open to people of all ages and backed up by training in rhetoric and debating skills.
In 2020 the Centre will host a number of debates around the country. Aimed at national reconciliation following the Brexit debate, the question to be debated will be:
"If we require a national vision to unify the nation post-Brexit what should that vision be and why?”
Our Debating Audience
People from all walks of life and of all ages.
FUNDING
The Centre is seeking funding from a variety of sources and expects to be mostly self funded within two years of operations. Some donors have come forward to offer start-up funding, but more is required to put the necessary infrastructure in place.
The timing of this funding drive is of great importance to the nation. The debate on Brexit and policies for the UK after we have left the European Union will go on for many years, but they must be shaped by thorough and effective policies and professional planning now.
The sooner effective strategies are developed by the government, political parties and politicians and the sooner that meaningful consultation is undertaken and effective policies are developed, the more well informed and appropriate government and political decisions will be and the more likely it is that the future of the UK will be a bright and successful one.
Please support this important work.
IF YOU ARE FRUSTRATED AT THE LACK OF VISION, LEADERSHIP & EFFECTIVE POLICIES FOR THE FUTURE, HELP US TO CHANGE ALL THAT BY MAKING A DONATION NOW.
Thank you!
