FC United is asking supporters to Boost the Budget this season! We’re aiming to raise £25,000 with every penny boosting the squad
For the 2022/23 season, FC United of Manchester is asking supporters to help Boost the Budget in return for a range of exciting Crowdfunder rewards.
The club is aiming to raise £25,000 to help first team manager Neil Reynolds retain the squad he wants and provide us all with exciting football and winning ways.
The priority in our club’s Vision, based on the wishes of co-owners, is sustainable success on the pitch.
Therefore our current business plan sets out our main target as promotion to the National League North by 2025.
Of course the benefits of success on the pitch are not limited to promotion. Football is our driver, and a winning team creates an exciting buzz around the club, driving larger attendances, greater spend at Broadhurst Park and a higher profile for FC United – in turn making us even more attractive to sponsors.
That’s why we want to launch Boost the Budget now – allowing Neil Reynolds the opportunity to refine his squad as the new season kicks off and be able to afford to retain every player he believes he needs.
From this, we hope the winning buzz around the club will follow!
Every penny raised by the Crowdfunder will go to Reno for spending on the playing budget. We would not be the first supporter-owned team to go down this route – several others do this every year.
However we anticipate that for FC United, this will be a one-off ahead of a greater commercial focus bringing in more income during 2023-2025.
