Aim

The project aims to raise the funding to open a community bookshop in the centre of St Helens which has something to offer for everyone!

HELP US BRING OUR BOOKSHOP TO LIFE!

  • A community bookshop in the heart of St Helens
  • Somewhere which offers something for everyone
  • A shop which sells new books of each and every type
  • A thriving hub where everyone feels welcome
  • A place where children will be introduced to the joy of reading (and will have fun!!)

We would love you to join us on our journey. Help raise literacy levels in the town.  Help create a destination for the community. And help with the revival of St Helens town centre!

You can do this by becoming become a part owner for as little as £50!  If you can afford more, then please contribute more.  Each share costs £1 and the minimum investment is 50 shares (maximum is 5000 shares).

Interest will be paid (initially in the form of book tokens) and we have also applied to HMRC for confirmation that the investment will qualify for tax relief at 30% for those who pay UK taxes.

For every £ we raise up to a maximum of £45,000 the Community Shares Booster Fund will match with their own investment.  So every £1 that you invest will generate £2 for the bookshop!
