Aim
To raise money to buy Books for children this Christmas….
Dear All,
Firstly thank you to everyone who has donated. In 2020 we raised £900 and last year we raised £921 to buy books for children supported by Home Start, as well as local community centres who provide food care packages to families who are struggling and working where possible with key workers to provide books for children.
This year I will be raising money for books for children who are supported by Homestart, The Bay Tree Centre and Women & Children first.
Just so you know we use an independent book store in a town outside of London (m25). This bookstore gave a discount so we could buy even more books and pay for postage.
The store worked with Julia Donaldson and arranged for her to sign every single book. This year Judith Eagle ( The pear affair) has also agreed to sign these books for children this christmas.

in 2016 i started making gingerbread in exchange for gifts for kids at Christmas, however, with covid in 2020 i had to change my strategy and the impact and generosity of you all astounded me. Realistically, i could never now make that amount of gingerbread to cover this… but of course any special requests with donation ill do my best to provide!
Pictures are from the books we have gotten in the past and some mini ginger bread houses that were also use to raise money.
