Aim
All money raised will buy books and be to buy books for children this Christmas in support of community projects and charities for children.
Dear All,
Firstly thank you to everyone last year who donated.
Last year we raised £900 for books for children who are in temporary homes and homeless, as well as local communities who were providing food care packages to families who were struggling. From your donations they were able to add a book to those food packages as a Christmas present to open. We also provided some books to children supported by Home Start. Every penny went to books for children.
We used an independent book store who really benefited from this support as well and gave a discount so we could buy even more books.
They also worked with Julia Donaldson and actually arranged for her to sign every single book given to children last year!
Due to COVID its not possible for me to arrange gingerbread houses in exchange for gifts as I have done in the past.
However, I have been asked if it was possible to do the books again.
So I am asking you all to dig deep and please help me organise lots of books for children this Christmas.
