THE EVENT
Come for a party on Saturday 26th April.
7pm 'til half-past midnight.
Vinyls playing all night, followed by a DJ set from none other than Mark Hill (the ORIGINAL Artful Dodger).
Raising cash-monies for CoppaFeel! and the Bone Cancer Research Trust, ahead of Alice's gnarly 100km hike across the Isle of Skye.
At Retorrick Mill (TR8 4BH) which is just inland from Mawgan Porth.
Bring cash on the night for some boob/bone-related games.
£7 tickets when bought online before 23:59 on Thursday 24th April.
Tickets are £10 if you buy them on the Friday, Saturday, or on the door.
THE CAUSE
In 2023, some pals and I ran a fundraiser for Debbie and the treatment of her Metastatic Osteosarcoma (primary bone cancer).
The b*stard had spread from her bones to her lungs, so she needed to look for alternative therapies that the NHS, sadly, couldn’t do themselves.
Debs was an avid surfer, was a proper giggler in the sea. And spent many of her winters either living the van life in Portugal or snowboarding in France.
In October 2024, she died whilst out at a treatment centre in Germany.
No one should be forced to go to an unregulated treatment centre in another country as their last resort.
THE CHARITIES
THE BONE CANCER RESEARCH TRUST
In 2004, a group of families who had lost children and young people to primary bone cancer came together. They wanted to tackle head-on the fact that there was virtually no accessible bone cancer information, and practically no funding for research into this disease.
For those affected by the disease right now, our top-quality information and supportive network means no-one should have to feel alone or isolated.
COPPAFEEL!
CoppaFeel! was founded in 2009 by Kristin Hallenga and her twin sister Maren after Kris was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at the age of 23.
CoppaFeel! exists to educate and remind every young person in the UK that checking their chests could save their life. Kris’ late diagnosis meant she always lived with cancer, but she wanted to get the message out there to young people that catching cancer early means you have a higher chance of surviving and recovering.
Kris died in 2024, but her legacy is bringing all us *amateur* hikers together to complete this epic 5-day feat.
THE HIKE
This June I’ll be partaking in a 5-day Isle of Skye hike to raise money for both the Bone Cancer Trust and also CoppaFeel!
We're talking 100km distance.
And 3900 metres elevation over the trip.
Let’s raise a f*ck load of money so more cancers can be treated or managed with CONFIDENCE.
WHO'S DOING THE HIKE?
For those you you that know me, I'm Alice.
Living in Cornwall, I'm a surfer. Meaning any strength is in my upper body.
So it's gunna be a hard training period.
But I'm excited for the challenge.

Doors open at 7.
You can buy tickets on the door for a 10er (cash only).
So I'd recommend getting yourself a ticket online to save yourself the price of half a pint.

Annoyingly, 2.4% + 20p of each ticket cost covers online transaction fees (but it’s the cheapest + easiest way we’ve found to share this, so thanks for your understanding on this one).
