UK Tour : Brexit has failed : Let's rejoin EU

The organiser of the Proms flag exercise had his car broken into on Saturday and a £2600 laptop stolen.  Can we reach into our pockets to help him recoup his losses?

Here's some background

"It was a farce. I called 101 as didn't think it was an emergency. Got fed up after waiting for over 20 minutes on hold. Didn't think could touch the car due to evidence. So called 999, I was on hold there for about five minutes. They took a report and got a crime reference number. Nobody came out. Was told can drive home with back window smashed so did that."

Then today got "We are sorry to hear that you have been a victim of crime.  An investigator from the Metropolitan Police has looked carefully at your case and we are sorry to say that with the evidence and leads available it is unlikely that we will be able to identify those responsible.  We have therefore closed this case."

I replied and sent them a photo of the laptop bag and suggested that they check the CCTV in the area as the person might be seen say getting on the tube. It was very likely that nobody else has the same bag.

The response "Thank you for your email.  I have updated the crime report with the details.  Sadly we will be unable to assist further as we cannot view and trawl through hours of CCTV as we do not have the resources to do this."
