Support our professional theatre production of 'Bold Girls', written by Rona Munro and directed by Michael Quinn.
Centre Stage Theatre Company is one of Northern Ireland’s leading professional touring theatre companies, bringing over four decades of production experience and more than 60 years of combined theatrical expertise to local communities.
Despite our strong artistic track record, the current arts funding climate in Northern Ireland is extremely challenging, and the company is seeking support to help offset production costs for the upcoming staging of ‘Bold Girls’ by multi-award-winning playwright Rona Munro.
Scheduled for June 2026 at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast, this production will mark the first Northern Ireland staging of the contemporary classic in 35 years. ‘Bold Girls’ offers a powerful and darkly comic portrayal of women navigating life during the Troubles, exploring resilience, friendship, and the personal impact of conflict through a compelling, character-driven narrative.
Funds raised will contribute directly to production costs ensuring that high-quality theatre remains accessible to diverse audiences. Support for this campaign will help us champion female-led storytelling, and enable a major revival that connects contemporary audiences with a significant piece of Northern Irish theatrical history. Our goal is not only to bring this landmark production to life but also to strengthen the sustainability of professional theatre across the region.
