The Cause
Borough of Kirklees Swimming Club (BOK) is an amateur swimming club. Formed in 1982, today it has 400 swimmer and volunteer members of all ages across a number of aquatic disciplines including Artistic (synchro), Disability, and Master swimming squads.
BOK is entirely volunteer run and it's aim is to support the Kirklees Active Leisure Swim Performance training programme (the largest performance swim training programme in the area) so swimmers can compete at around 24 swimming competitions and galas every year.
Be clear about how it works: what donation amounts are available, how many entries each one gets (e.g. "Donate £10 for one entry, £20 for three entries"), and when the draw closes.
Important: You must include a free entry route – explain clearly how people can enter without making a donation.
Include any eligibility requirements – for example, if entrants must be 18+, UK residents only, or if there are any other restrictions.
Let people know when and how the winner(s) will be announced, and finish with a thank you and a clear call to action – something like "Enter now and help us make this happen!"
The more people who see your prize draw, the more entries you'll get and the more you'll raise. Ask supporters to share with friends, family, and on social media. A simple "Know someone who'd love to win this? Share it with them!" can go a long way.
