Our Crowdfunder appeal is now closed and we reached our target of £10000. The Gallery is now open and the Creative Studio will also soon be open. The money has been spent on the renovation of a run down vacant unit in the town centre and is now a vibrant Gallery as can be seen in this video taken on the 19th June when the Gallery opened for business, We would like to thank all the wonderful people who helped to make this happen and we are now busy fulfilling all of the rewards.

Bodmin Revival CIC is proud to launch an exciting new chapter for our town centre with the Bodmin Creative Studio (BCS) and Gallery. By transforming a vacant unit into a hub of creativity and collaboration, we’re setting the stage for a brighter, more dynamic Bodmin. This initiative marks the first step in building a network of creative spaces that will celebrate and nurture local talent while invigorating the heart of our community.
The Vision
Imagine 61 Fore Street as more than just a vacant unit – picture it as a bustling, inspiring space filled with artwork, ideas, and opportunities. We have just started the transformation process and with your help, we can transform this space and build a community of creative people. To make this vision a reality, we need to raise funds to get us up and running.
How Your Support Will Help
Your contributions will fund:
- Renovation Costs: Turning the unit into a modern, welcoming space for exhibitions, events, and retail. We have started with our wonderful volunteers giving their time and enthusiasm but there is a long way to go as you can see.
- Equipment and Furnishings: Equipping the studio with essential tools, furniture, and technology to foster collaboration and creativity.
- Operational Costs: Covering initial expenses such as rent, utilities, and staffing
- Art Fund : A fund to help new artists and creatives get established with help with expenses for framing and equipment that is beyond their budget and can hold them back
How Will it make a Difference ?
It will achieve the following:
- Offer local artists a showcase and trustworthy and affordable outlet for their work
- Attract footfall with a diverse range of unique artwork and artisan products and related events
- Provide a place in the town centre for Bodmin Revival to facilitate community engagement and sharing information to give residents an opportunity to have their voices heard
- Provide a collaborative meeting space in the town centre for members of the Bodmin Creative Studio and creative people . Freelancing and creative work can be isolating as much is done at home and alone.
- Generate revenue to invest back into Bodmin’s revival plans.
What We’ll Achieve Together
- Empower Artists: Provide local creatives with an affordable, trustworthy space to showcase and sell their work.
- Boost Footfall: Attract residents and visitors with unique artwork, artisan products, and engaging events.
- Foster Community Engagement: Create a welcoming place where residents can share ideas, learn about local initiatives, and actively shape Bodmin’s future.
- Support Collaboration: Offer creatives a place to collaborate, connecting them to clients and new opportunities.
- Invest in Bodmin: Generate sustainable revenue to reinvest in future revitalisation projects.
About Bodmin Creative Studio
The Bodmin Creative Studio (BCS) and Gallery is a bold initiative designed to position Bodmin as a leading centre for creativity, innovation, and industry growth.
In collaboration with partners like Bodmin College, Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT), and Jon Drever of the double Oscar-winning Grain Media, the BCS will act as:
• A springboard for graduates entering creative industries.
• A collaborative hub for professionals to grow their skills and businesses.
• A provider of accessible digital media services for local businesses, offering everything from photography, web design, UX, VR, graphic design, printed collateral design, illustration, social media management and branding to film production.
