Aim

We are raising money to run a financial literacy and upskilling course for members of the BME community in Doncaster.


BMEUD is a non-for-profit organisation situated in Doncaster. We are an organisation that advocates for the rights and welfare of blacks and minority ethnic in Doncaster. BMEUD was developed out of the realisation of the problems faced by the BME community in Doncaster.

 BMEUD works with local authorities, community groups and faith groups to identify, support and assist BME in Doncaster to navigate and break the existing barriers. We provide a number of services including but not limited to, weekly food banks, Free after school homework clubs for children from low-income backgrounds,  to support BME families in crisis.

 Our project is a skills Bootcamp targeted at members of the BME community, The social disadvantages of the BME community are well documented. In Doncaster, the disparity in income and financial literacy within the BME community is vast. The Bootcamp equips the attendee with knowledge on successfully gaining jobs, progressing in a chosen field, and preparing for further study. Our Financial Literacy programme has courses in debt management, budgeting, understanding & building credit, and other essential financial management courses. 

The BME skills booth camp 2022 is a free 12-week training course aimed at resolving unemployment and financial illiteracy within the BME community in Doncaster. Our programs are run in collaboration with a range of experts from various industry sectors, the funds will be used to pay the course trainers and to provide the course attendees with materials to support them after completion of the Bootcamp.
