Blythey P's Christmas and New Year Volunteering Trip to Calais
Hello Friends and Relatives,
I have decided to take a trip to Calais to volunteer over Christmas and New Year from the 19th December to the 3rd of January. I was going to go without pomp an circumstance but it's a little over my 'working holiday' budget and considering I'm volunteering for a good cause I thought I would give my beloveds the chance to help me out with a few quid to help me on my way this Christmas...
Breakdown: The whole trip will cost £500 (estimation!).
160 - car on ferry
238 - £17 per night for a hostel
£42 - £3 a day for food
£60 - petrol.
Happy to pay this my self in the end but if you could pop me a few bob it will drastically reduce my expenses and all for a good cause. Although the camp was 'broken up' there are many people still there and they are in much need of new volunteers over this time as many of the long term volunteers leave over the festive period to see their families. I will most likely spend my days chopping wood and helping with tent repairs and sanitation and whatever else is needed both in the camp and in order to organise donations to be sent on to Turkey and Greece.
No pressure y'all but if you were planning to get me anything for Christmas please just contribute here instead!
