To raise much needed campaign funds to keep Block the Block running.
For over three years the tenants and residents of Hopton Court, Cooper Housing and the Aquarius Estate have been fighting off plans to turn an old pub into student flats.
They've had amazing success, and the planners have knocked it back 4 times. But the developer may always bring it back.
We want to push forward and alternative plan for the site - social housing and age-friendly amenity. But to make this dream a reality we need time, and the resoruces to keep our campaign running.
Our campaign costs money - for print costs, for taxis to help residents with mobility issues to attend key meetings, to get planning consultants to help us out. We have been fortunate to get money in the past from friends and allies and are asking for supporters to donate again, to keep our war chest topped up.
