Our goal with Bleet is to create an app that will bring bloggers together, empowering them and creating an even stronger community offline.
What is Bleet?
Bleet is an app to help bloggers find other bloggers around them in a fun and easy way.
Where did the idea come from?
Our Co-founder Lucy is a blogger herself and although she knows a lot of bloggers online, she doesn't really know many around her. The idea for Bleet came around one day when her and Sam were talking about how amazing it'd be if there was an easy way to find bloggers near her so they could meet up, take photos together and just bounce ideas off of each other.
How was Bleet welcomed online?
We've had such an amazing response from bloggers already. So many people have already signed up ready for when the app launches, the support has honestly been amazing and we can't wait for them to try the app.
Why are we raising money?
The money will go towards tech expenses that will help fund the day-to-day tools that our developers need to produce the app. We will be able to release updates to the app much faster and will be able to spend more time on ensuring they're of the highest quality. Additionally, the money will be used to fund servers which we use to run the app behind the scenes. As the app grows and more people begin to use it, we will have to adapt to grow to ensure minimal down time and keep the experience enjoyable. Finally, we'll use it to research and fund new features that our users want to see.
Another important thing we need funds for is marketing. As with any social app, it's very important to reach people all over the world so that new bloggers can find people near them. We've already begun this with our hugely successful pre-signup service, but additional funding will allow us to reach more people, on more platforms. Furthermore, it'll allow us to invest in understanding our users and the features and services they want from us.
