Blackpool to Beziers Bike Ride

Aim

We are cycling 1000 miles to raise funds to send this exceptionally talented team of girls from Blackpool to a football tournament in France

Who are we?

We are the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre District U15s Girls Team. We formed in September 2023 as the first ever U15 girls team in our district, and we remain unbeaten after playing against other districts teams from throughout the north west of England.  Our squad is made up of the most talented players from schools in the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre district. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

Girls football is generally underfunded, and opportunities for teams to compete abroad are few and far between. This talented team have been invited to play in a tournament near Beziers, in the South of France, and we'd love your help to get them there. 

The girls have been selling football cards and organising events to help fund their trip in April. On 16th-17th March the girls and their parents will be attempting to cycle the 1000 miles between Blackpool and Beziers to raise sponsorship money. This will be done on stationary bikes at B&Q at Whitehills Business Park.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money will be spent on the team's flights to France and accommodation.  

Why it means so much

By taking part in this tournament, the girls will have an experience of a lifetime and make long-lasting memories doing what they love best! This team helps to inspire other young girls to play sport and they will proudly represent their schools and their district on an international stage.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
