Aim
The aim for my project is to show the world that Black people are more than just athletes and activists. More than musicians and criminals.
I myself have experienced a lot of racism growing up; this project isn’t about that. This project is a celebration of who we are as Black people, our achievements and our excellence. I started this project because I was tired of the grey cloud, the harrowing narrative, that stalks the global Black community. It’s time to change that narrative and show that Black Excellence occupies all parts and all roles of society. Just because you don’t see us on TV, doesn’t mean we aren’t excellence.
All money donated to this cause will pay for the crew and equipment I have hired, for the production of this project. I have already paid £260 of my own money, as we haven’t received any funding yet.
This will be an ongoing project spanning over the next couple months, up until September when I go to uni, but we have plans to work together as a crew in the future and see how far we can take the project.
All crew members are Black people living/from Bristol.
