Birkacre Community Defibrillator 3 Peaks Challenge

Aim

Birkacre Garden Centre's Defibrillator Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, 24 Miles in under 12 hours, on Tuesday 6th September 2016

A group of 4 staff from Birkacre Garden Centre located in Chorley Lancashire are taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Tuesday 6th September 2016.

The three peaks are Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough which we aim to climb and walk a total of 24 miles in under 12 hours, in order to raise money to purchase a life saving defibrillator for the local community & garden centre use.

This crucial piece of life saving equipment is essential to provide immediate life saving care to anybody who may require it whilst on site or around the immediate area, especially while waiting for emergency services to arrive which can take several minutes.

The cost of a defibrillator is around £1000.

Any extra donations will be used to purchase a secure housing unit which will cost approx £500 & any extra funds after the £1500 to buy the Defib & the housing, will then be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
