Birchgrove RFC - Club & Changing Room Improvements

Aim: We wish to raise £15,000 to improve the outdoor supporters area, the player changing rooms and make improvements to the clubhouse.

Birchgrove RFC is more than just a rugby club; it's the heart of our village. We're a thriving community hub, providing mini and junior rugby to over 200 boys and girls aged 4 to 18, with a senior rugby team playing in WRU Division 2 West Central.

Over the past decade, our club has experienced incredible growth, from a small group of 15 junior players to 12 teams and over 200 players! To continue supporting our growing community, we need your help to improve our facilities.

Our Goal: To raise £15,000, including match funding from Sport Wales, to transform our club and enhance the experience for our players, coaches, and supporters. The changes will also improve the changing and toilet facilities for women and girls.

Why We Need Your Support:

Our junior rugby section has flourished, and we now need to update our facilities to match our success. Here's how your donation will make a difference:

• Revitalized Changing Rooms: We'll refurbish the player changing rooms with new benches, fresh paint, improved shower and toilet facilities, and energy-efficient LED lighting. We will make changes to add a dedicated changing room and toilets for women and girls. We'll also add our club logo to the walls, creating a sense of pride and belonging. Budget Allocation: £6,000
• Enhanced Outdoor Supporters Area: Our patio area needs an upgrade! We'll replace worn benches with modern, long-lasting composite benches. You can sponsor a bench with a memorial plaque to honour a past supporter. This area is accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy the games. Budget Allocation: £5,000
• Improved Clubhouse Furniture: Our clubhouse is packed on match days! We'll purchase additional tables and chairs, many featuring our club badge, to comfortably accommodate our growing number of supporters and visiting teams. Budget Allocation: £4,000

Community Impact:

Birchgrove RFC is where young players learn teamwork and sportsmanship. It's where families come together to cheer on their children and where lifelong friendships are formed. We are eager to increase the number of women and girls participating at our club, the improvements to our changing rooms will encourage this. We need to raise £6,000 from our supporters and local businesses. With the match funding from Sport Wales, this will reach our £15,000 goal!
