Who am i?
Binta's Kitchen is an ethical brand that works with communities, farmers and vegatable suppliers to rescue their surplus vegetables that would have otherwise be wasted, transforming them into vegan Nigerian sauces to act on food waste in a delicious and sustainable way.
What is my product?
Our sauces were created out of the frustration of wanting to eat healthy authentic foods on the go. Finding no options, Binta, our cheif culinarian, created this range of free from sauces. Our recipes are an infusion of Nigerian flavours that have been unaltered and passed down through generations. Taking a unique twist on the humble pasta sauce our premium sauces have bold tastes, with few ingredients. They are created to compliment and celebrate food and to be shared by all.
Why is it different or important?
Our aim is to raise food waste awareness by encouraging consumers to eat these wholesome produce which are being wasted for no reason. Our sustainable sauces are sold in supermarkets and also redistributed to food banks and charities to further help combat food poverty.
How will I spend the money?
Our expenses include: packaging costs, marketing (social media campaign), distribution costs and product development (shelf life testing).
