To help raise funds for the Manchester Village Spartans RUFC to get to Brisbane for the Bingham Cup, the World Cup of inclusive rugby!
Hello hello hello
I'm Dylan and I have just finished my first season playing rugby for the Manchester Village Spartans, the world’s second-ever LGBTQIA+ Rugby Club and a founding member of International Gay Rugby.
The Challenge
Over the coming weeks I will be cycling over 300 miles to raise funds for our club to get to Brisbane. I'll be hopping on the bike as much as possible to make sure I smash the target with lots of little cycles and some bigger trips planned. Stay tuned! Keep up with my progress via my Instagram and regular updates to this page.
The Cause
I am raising funds to cover the costs of our team travelling to Brisbane in August to compete in the 'World Cup' of Inclusive Rugby, known as the Bingham Cup. It is named in memory of Mark Bingham, a gay rugby player and one of the heroes who died on United Airlines Flight 93, thwarting the hijackers during the 9/11 attacks.
Since its inception in 2002, the tournament has grown into an international cornerstone of the sporting calendar, promoting diversity and inclusion through Rugby.
The Ask
With the club setting off to Brisbane for the Bingham Cup, we need all the help and support we can get to make sure our players, coaches, and supporters get there and do Manchester proud! Please donate what you can and share this fundraiser far and wide :)
