Aim

To get a big screen to televise the Memorial Service and Wreath Laying so everyone can feel part of Remembrance 2018: Ivybridge 100 years on

A Crowd Funding Request by Ivybridge Royal British Legion

Remembrance Sunday 2018 is the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War. To mark the occasion the Remembrance Day Service will take place on the Erme Court Car Park adjacent to the Watermark. It will include a WW1 fly past (weather permitting), followed by a March Past and Wreath Laying at the War Memorial. To allow everybody to both see and hear what is happening we intend to hire a large video screen and camera and need your support to achieve this, so please help us Crowd Fund the cost.

As the Parade and attendance has increased in recent years we have realised that the Uniformed Youth Groups, those in wheel chairs, and you that attend, have found it more and more difficult to see, hear and participate. The river can be so loud that it distracts from peoples enjoyment and many further down the high street can neither see nor hear. On this important anniversary we want to ensure that all that wish to participate can do so, please help by contributing.

Let us enjoy our wonderful parade in an open and comfortable setting, where we can watch, listen, and see our Veterans, Servicemen, Cadets, Scouts, Guides, and School Children march with pride and lay wreaths at the Memorial and say ‘Thank you’ a hundred years on.Image may contain: 4 people, people standingImage may contain: 9 peopleImage may contain: 5 people, outdoorImage may contain: 5 people, people standing and outdoorImage may contain: 9 people, people smiling, people standing and outdoor
