#SaveOurVenues BIG Funds for The David Hall

The David Hall in South Petherton is still active, or as active as it can be, within the restraints of the pandemic and Government restrictions. Like many music venues around the country we are having to make some difficult decisions in order to keep everyone safe and to maintain our financial viability.

In usual circumstances we rely solely on ticket revenue and fundraising to function.  This year Petherton Arts Trust, which owns and runs The David Hall has been fortunate to receive monies via the Cultural Recovery Fund and private donors but we are facing an uncertain future and without these funds we would have struggled financially to survive through the pandemic and beyond.  

We need to proceed with caution as our income streams have either been significantly curtailed or stopped altogether and we have ongoing costs month by month and a listed building to repair and maintain.

We have teamed up with the Music Venue’s Alliance with a national fundraising campaign at www.saveourvenue.co.uk#saveourvenue.  We are aware that everyone is struggling at the moment but we would be very grateful if our loyal audience members, followers and artists felt that they could support us financially through this Crowdfund scheme.

Any donations, no matter how small, would be crucial to our continued future and our ability to provide access to the arts, entertainment and cultural activities within South Petherton and beyond. We are hoping to raise £10,000 towards our costs and critical building maintenance work.
