We help young people across Sussex to get active, learn new skills, and improve their wellbeing through award-winning football programmes.
by Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation in Brighton, , United Kingdom
At the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation, we’re united by a single, powerful mission: to change lives across Sussex through the transformative power of football. Just as British Airways opens the skies to connect people across the world, we open doors on the ground, empowering young people from all backgrounds to thrive through sport.
Football is more than a game; it’s a bridge that breaks down social, cultural, and physical barriers, creating pathways for young people to reach their full potential.
We believe that when it comes to providing opportunities the sky’s the limit. With your support, we can bring the life-changing benefits of football to any young person, regardless of background or ability.
Thanks to British Airways, every donation we receive over the next six weeks will be worth double, so this is the perfect time for you to donate.
Our friends at British Airways will be matching donations* we receive during this period up to the value of £10,000 - twice the money, twice the amount of difference you can make.
*Please note, a maximum of £250 per unique supporter can be matched.
We believe football should be for everyone. That’s why we provide inclusive football sessions across Sussex, giving players with disabilities such as Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism the chance to enjoy the game, build confidence, and be part of a supportive community. Open to anyone aged five and over, our sessions welcome players of all abilities, ensuring that disability is never a barrier to participation.
With the support of qualified coaches, every player experiences the physical, social, and mental benefits of sport. Beyond grassroots sessions, we also run disability-specific teams (Blind, Cerebral Palsy, Powerchair and Amputee) that compete at regional and national levels - offering players the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete as an elite.
With your donation, we can provide greater opportunities for players with disabilities.
We empower women and girls to thrive in football, offering top-tier coaching that nurtures talent and unlocks potential. Whether they're aspiring professionals or trying the game for the first time, we provide a supportive, structured environment where they can build skills, make friends, and enjoy the game.
For those with elite ambitions, our talent pathway bridges the gap to the BHAFC academy, creating a clear route for exceptional players to reach the highest levels on the pitch.
Our free community football sessions are open to young people aged 8-18 living in higher-need areas. The programme creates opportunities for young people who are at risk of anti-social behaviour or youth violence to regularly engage in football, sport, mentoring and personal development opportunities.
Our more targeted programme provides mentoring support for young people aged between 8-12 who are involved with, or at significant risk of, serious youth violence in Brighton and Hove.
Thanks to you, and the generous support of British Airways, we can transform the lives of young people across Sussex and show that with the right support, there are no limits to what can be achieved.
