We are the umbrella organisation supporting & bringing together all the UK's local greenspace Friends Groups. Help us protect parks better!
Do you love your local parks and green spaces, and would like to see them better maintained and protected? You can help make a real difference today!
There are 7,000 local greenspace Friends Groups and hundreds more being formed each year. They are passionate volunteers who organise events and activities, promote their sites on social media, and want to ensure their communities get the very best out of these vital local spaces. We, the National Federation of Parks and Green Spaces, are the unfunded and volunteer-run umbrella organisation of this inspiring grassroots movement.
OUR WORK IS ABSOLUTELY VITAL TO THE FUTURE OF THE UK'S GREEN SPACES:
- We support and link up the greenspace Friends Groups across the UK
- We promote and share success stories and good practice
- We ensure the voices of the grassroots are amplified and listened to at all levels, including by Government
- We call for proper funding and protection for all public greenspace
We are a registered charity with a great track record already over the last 10 years - see www.natfedparks.org.uk and www.parkscommunity.org.uk But we need your help to continue to do this, and to do it better!
What you can do
1. Donate now. When we reach our £3000 target we will be given an additional £6000 match funding grant! So please give generously today (and claim your reward) and encourage all those you know to do so too. The deadline is midnight New Year's Eve!
2. Please join your local group if there is one, or if not then consider starting one for your favourite site. Check out our advice and guidance online.
